Butallylonal 1,4-dioxane hemisolvate

THE ASYMMETRIC UNIT OF THE TITLE COMPOUND [SYSTEMATIC NAME: 5-(1-bromo-prop-2-en-1-yl)-5-sec-butyl-pyrimidine-2,4,6-trione 1,4-dioxane hemisolvate], C(11)H(15)BrN(2)O(3)·0.5C(4)H(8)O(2), contains one half-mol-ecule of 1,4-dioxane and one mol-ecule of butallyl-onal, with an almost planar barbiturate ring [largest deviation from the mean plane = 0.049 (5) Å]. The centrosymmetric dioxane mol-ecule...

Cytenamide–1,4-dioxane (2/1)

IN THE CRYSTAL STRUCTURE OF THE TITLE COMPOUND [SYSTEMATIC NAME: 5H-dibenzo[a,d]cyclo-hepta-triene-5-carboxamide-1,4-dioxane (2/1)], 2C(16)H(13)NO·C(4)H(8)O(2), the cytenamide mol-ecules form a hydrogen-bonded R(2) (2)(8) dimer. The solvent mol-ecule is located between two adjacent cytenamide dimers and forms N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds with one cytenamide mol-ecule from each dimer.

4-Hydroxybenzamide 1,4-dioxane hemisolvate

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(7)H(7)NO(2)·0.5C(4)H(8)O(2), is composed of one 4-hy-droxy-benzamide mol-ecule and half of a 1,4-dioxane mol-ecule. The complete dioxin molecule is generated by crystallographic inversion symmetry. The crystal has an extensive system of hydrogen bonds, in which the three donor H atoms are fully utilized: these result in amide-amide homodimers, and N-...

2-(2-Naphthyl)-1,3-dioxane

The title compound, C(14)H(14)O(2), crystallizes in the chiral monoclinic space group P2(1). This acetal is composed of a planar naphthalene ring with a 1,3-dioxane ring substituent, which has a chair conformation. In the crystal structure, symmetry-related mol-ecules are connected via a weak C-H⋯O inter-action to form a helical chain propagating in [010]. While there are no π-π stacking inter-...

Desorption kinetics of a xanthenol-dioxane clathrate.

The host xanthenol compound forms a 1:1 clathrate with dioxane, namely 9-(1-naphthyl)-9H-xanthen-9-ol-1,4-dioxane, C23H16O2.C4H8O2. The structure of this clathrate is reported, along with a study of the kinetics of desolvation and the determination of an activation energy. The guest molecules are stabilized by O(host)-H...O(guest) hydrogen bonds [O-H = 0.968 (2) A, O...O = 2.7532 (13) A and O-H...
